Before beginning the Oriental Epilation treatment, the skin must be dry and free of any oils.
Follow these steps to ensure proper skin preparation for Oriental Epilation:
Hygiene
For professional beauticians, using nitrile gloves during treatment is recommended to maintain a high level of hygiene. If you’re performing the treatment on yourself, you may use either bare hands or a spatula.
Clean the Skin
Remove any traces of creams, lotions, or sweat by thoroughly cleansing the skin with a skin cleanser and degreaser.
Dry the Skin
Use a dry towel to wipe away any excess moisture.
For individuals with naturally oily or sweaty skin, applying CLEOPATRA Sugar Paste directly may not be effective, as it won’t adhere well to wet or greasy areas. In such cases, you can apply a light layer of body powder to ensure the paste sticks properly. For clients with normal or dry skin, body powder is generally not necessary or recommended.
If these preparation steps are followed correctly, the sugar paste will easily adhere to the body hair, facilitating a smooth and effective removal process.
Oriental Epilation, when done correctly, should be the most comfortable and painless hair removal method available. However, long hairs—generally those over 1–1.5 cm—can lead to some discomfort during the treatment.
To reduce discomfort, recommend that clients trim any long hairs before the session. If you’re performing the treatment on yourself, you can trim beforehand as well. Shorter hair leads to a more comfortable and relaxing experience, as the hairs won’t get tangled in the paste.
To maintain comfort and achieve the best results, we suggest keeping up with regular Oriental Epilation sessions, even during winter when body hair is often covered by clothing. This consistency helps ensure a pleasant and effective treatment each time.
When following these guidelines, Oriental Epilation becomes one of the most comfortable and relaxing hair removal methods available.
