EPILATION USING SPATULA & STRIPS

There are two ways to use a spatula during oriental epilation:

  • As a substitute for hands or gloves
  • As a tool for a method that requires strips

While this method is similar to waxing, remember that application and removal occur in opposite directions to avoid breaking the hair and to ensure it’s fully removed from the root.

For successful oriental epilation with a spatula and strips, follow these steps:

#1

Take the Sugar Paste with the Spatula

Use the spatula to scoop the sugar paste from the jar. Softer pastes (e.g. INTIMATE – EPIL) are easier to handle with a spatula.

#2

Apply a Thin Layer in the Opposite Direction

Spread a very thin layer of sugar paste in the opposite direction of hair growth. Thick layers won’t adhere well to the strip, making it harder to remove the paste.

#3

Massage the Sugar Paste onto the Skin and Hairs

Use the spatula to massage the paste into the skin, ensuring all hairs are covered. If hairs pop out of the paste, they may not be removed effectively.

#4

Rub the Strip Onto the Paste and Remove Parallel to the Skin

Carefully pull the sugar paste out of the jar, keeping it above the container to prevent drips.

#5

Continue Until All Unwanted Hair is Removed

Tips & Tricks

  • If you run out of strips, you can use a towel or any fabric as a substitute for removing the sugar paste from the skin.
  • When performing oriental epilation with a spatula and strips, it’s essential to use the softest CLEOPATRA Sugar Pastes. For warm summer months, INTIMATE – EPIL or SOFT – EPIL are ideal options, while during colder winter months, INTIMATE – EPIL is recommended for optimal results.
